The "White Swan" Hotel in the small, cozy town of Alakhadzi is a good fit for a quiet break without hassle. It stands just 50 meters from the sea, so from the balcony you can watch beautiful sunsets and hear the water throughout the day. The beach has both small and large pebbles. When we visited off-season, it was empty except for the sea and sand, which didn’t bother us. For children, it may be worth bringing umbrellas or checking ahead whether any are available. Our room had air conditioning, a refrigerator, hairdryer, TV, and hot water around the clock. There’s a kitchen on the floor with a dining table for a small group, and downstairs the friendly cooks prepare tasty home-style meals three times a day. The owner, Fatima, greets guests each morning with a smile, remembers requests, and is always available to help. I’m not discussing prices because that depends on the person. Alakhadzi is also handy for reaching other resort areas such as Pitsunda and Gagra. If you want peaceful time, beautiful nature, and fresh air, I definitely recommend it.

The rooms are decent for Abkhazia, and the beach is only 50 meters away. The one drawback is the cafe next door, which stays open and noisy until midnight. That didn’t really affect us since we don’t go to bed earlier anyway.

We booked a room at the "White Swan" in Allahadzy for September 2022, but the village turned out to be a dirty, inaccessible dump with no roads or infrastructure. When we asked the owner how to get there, she had nothing to suggest, and our deposit was not returned. Apparently that was because it was already off-season. I don’t recommend it.

The surrounding area is unusually clean for this part of the region, which is probably the main advantage. The hotel is nice and clean, with four rooms on each floor and a kitchenette shared by two rooms. The other facilities are in the rooms. It’s very close to the sea, and there’s an excellent cafe nearby. We recommend it.

We stayed at the White Swan Hotel in Abkhazia in August 2022 and were happy with everything, from the tidy, cozy room and kitchen to the welcoming hostess, Fatima Konstantinovna. The sea is only steps away, and you fall asleep and wake up to its sound. Excursions can be arranged at the hotel, with recommendations for the most interesting options, and the bus picks you up right there. We’re planning to come back next year. Thank you for the lovely holiday!
