The beach beside the guesthouse was clean, the sea entry was gentle, and the water was unbelievably clear. In the evenings, we could see the sea perfectly from our window, with nothing blocking the view. That peaceful setting was one of the best parts of our stay. We chose Kholodnaya Rechka mainly because of its location. The sea is right across the road, the area is quiet and not densely built up, and there are other boarding houses, plenty of greenery, and beautiful scenery nearby. Gagra is close, neighboring towns are reachable, and the airport isn't far either, with shuttle buses and taxis available. We stayed in Gagra last summer. Kholodnaya Rechka is really more of a mini-hotel than a boarding house in the usual sense, which suited us. Since there aren't many guests, everything stays clean and the evenings were calm, with no noise or drunken parties. Our double junior suite was well kept and had a TV, split-system air conditioner, hairdryer, and decent Wi-Fi. The room was cleaned daily, and the linens and towels were changed regularly. Meals came four times a day as a buffet, with plenty of choice, including vegetarian food. Even with my healthy diet, I never went hungry. It was a wonderful stay.
