Hotel "family Resort Bambora"

Rainy weather didn't matter much because there was plenty to do inside. We played billiards, table tennis, air hockey, and football so much that we never even turned on the TV. The days passed incredibly quickly. The owners, Natalya Vladimirovna and Nikolai Mikhailovich, are warm and welcoming, and we are very grateful for the stay. The food is delicious too, so good that guests from nearby hotels come over to eat. I'd gladly return here, and recommend it to others.

This wasn't our first visit, and the warm welcome is still the same. The staff greet guests and say goodbye so kindly that you immediately want to return. The chefs deserve special praise, and breakfast is included as a semi-buffet. The maid cleans every day. Around the hotel there is plenty of greenery, two pools, separate ones for children and adults, and sun loungers. The sea takes about 15 minutes to reach on foot. 😊

We are on our third day and so far we're happy with the stay. The hotel is quiet and works well for families or a big group of friends. Everything is clean, attractive, and comfortable, with a pool and entertainment staff. The service is excellent, and the cafe serves very good food. Breakfast is included, filling, and different each day, with drinks and desserts at the buffet. The sea is 700 meters away, but the free electric scooters make the trip easy. The weak point is the surrounding infrastructure, since markets and cafes are far away and walking there in the heat isn't pleasant. If you want most things in one place, though, this hotel is a good fit.

We spent 11 days here in late July 2021 with our family and friends, including children aged 8 and 9. The hotel is on the outskirts of Gudauta, and there isn't much to do outside it. By day five, the children preferred staying at the hotel rather than going to the sea. The beach is about 750 meters away, with no pedestrian path, cows and cars along the road, and a small pebble shore with easy entry. In the water, the sand is soft. Loungers and umbrellas cost extra. Shops, barbecue spots, cafes, and three sea-view beach cafes are along the way. Inside, children have a supervised play area with climbing equipment, blocks, tables, and toys, plus a games room with ping-pong, air hockey, and football. There are also two trampolines, swings, a carousel, a cafe-style restaurant, and a 1.7-meter pool open from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pool area has loungers, umbrellas, swings, a bench, and plenty of inflatable rings, mattresses, and life jackets. It was especially useful when the sea was rough. The owner and her assistant are genuinely caring and regularly ask about guests' stays. Our small second-floor room had a safe, refrigerator, three beds, TV, air conditioning, bathroom, wardrobe, chair, and table. Everything was new and worked well, although thunderstorms caused some power cuts. The beds were comfortable. The restaurant menu is limited, but most dishes were tasty, and the staff, especially Alisa and Alena, were lovely. We enjoyed syrniki, semolina porridge, cappuccino, shashlik, pelmeni, trout, cheese balls, khachapuri, garlic croutons, milkshakes, beer, local dry white wine, pasta, rice, buckwheat, French fries, mashed potatoes, turtle cake, chocolate cake, and feijoa compote. Other food could be greasy, mayonnaise-heavy, or bland, and after 11 days the menu felt repetitive. The khinkali wasn't very good, with problems in the minced meat. You can bring wine and produce, and the restaurant will cut up a watermelon and keep leftovers in its refrigerator. The children were safe enough for us to leave them inside while handling errands. They ordered food themselves, we paid later, and they made friends with the other children. They were sad to leave. I have only good impressions of the hotel and its people, and I hope the rest of Gudauta can reach this standard.
