Aschamta hotel (Ashamta)

The small number of rooms gives this cozy hotel a quiet, intimate atmosphere. My friend and I stayed in September 2022, and we found the place comfortable, with all the basic amenities and air conditioning. Breakfasts were varied and delicious, while the staff were polite and helpful. The sea is close enough to reach on foot. We highly recommend it.

This is a small, cozy hotel in a quiet spot, about five minutes from the sea. Our stay began on September 17, 2022. The room had a TV, refrigerator, table, mirror, bedside tables, and clothes dryer, though there wasn't even one chair and there was no hairdryer inside. You can borrow one from reception. Cleaning and linen changes happened every three days. We only had breakfast included, and it was quite monotonous, so I wasn't thrilled, but the many nearby cafes and canteens made that manageable. The staff were polite and ready to help. Smoking isn't allowed indoors, but the roof has a place to sit, relax, and grill shashlik, with a barbecue available. I recommend the hotel.

The staff were responsive and caring during our October 2023 stay. We were first put in room 25, where the power supply didn't work, but they moved us right away when we asked. The occasional power cuts were annoying, though they weren't the hotel's fault. I would have liked night lamps above the beds. Still, it was a solid 4. Thank you.

Ashamta sits in the center of Gagra, with the sea only five minutes away. Cafes, shops, the market, a taxi stand, and entertainment are all close by, and the view of the mountains and sea is fantastic. The rooms are clean and have everything needed, the food is delicious, and the staff are kind and welcoming. We highly recommend this hotel.
