Energetik Hotel

The hotel itself left us with a pleasant impression, and we'd return in warmer weather, although the cuisine was a serious disappointment. There was supposedly plenty of variety, but very little tasted good. The first courses were awful: the noodle soup was tear-inducing, the rassolnik was basically pearl barley paste, and the solyanka was sausage in tomato broth. The morning porridge was poor, the fish was overcooked, the French-style meat was rubbery, the fruit tasted like wood, and the juices were like oversweetened chemical water. If you arrive after opening, some dishes may not be replenished. The red and white wine was a pleasant exception, similar to homemade wine my grandmother made in the Caucasus. I don't drink much, but it didn't make me dizzy or feel worse. The grounds were spacious and well kept, with sea access and a large, warm pool we didn't want to leave. The rooms were cozy, the furniture and fixtures were in excellent condition, and the balcony view of the sea was stunning. The showers being open or closed is a matter of preference. The restrooms were always clean. We also liked the sociable, knowledgeable general practitioner and appreciated the information he gave us. A loud event took place directly outside our room on the first day, and the playground by the three-story second building made things noisy. Reception moved us to another room in the same category, which was very kind. It was on the third floor, and we usually used the stairs because the elevator took so long. The kitchen staff were constantly cleaning and did a great job, and the girls were attentive and welcoming. Said was especially memorable, quickly carrying away a tower of dishes. The weather in Abkhazia wasn't good for us this time, but the hotel had many positives.

Even October can be a good time to relax here 😏, and the sea feels perfect for Siberians. The grounds have lots of greenery, pleasant smells and views, open-air gazebos, and several sports courts, including table tennis and badminton. There is also a warm outdoor pool when the weather or sea isn't suitable. Rooms are cleaned every day, with bottled water and tea or coffee supplied. A cat was found on the grounds too, and there is a photo.

We arrived on December 30, 2025, and the room was cold. Reception was contacted three times, but nobody fixed it or seemed concerned. There were cockroaches as well, and the food was terrible. At the restaurant, the meatball soup contained meatballs made from old, inedible meat. We came with children because of the pool, but it wasn't working. We had planned to celebrate New Year's Eve properly, then asked for a refund and were charged a fine instead. They said we should have read the contract, although apparently they also expected us to sign it before checking in. Do not come to this hotel.

I wouldn't recommend this place. We asked around ten guests and everyone staying there seemed to have rotavirus. Because we have a small child, we didn't risk staying, but the accounting department would not refund the booking after our plans changed and even charged for an extra night we didn't use. We didn't eat any meals because the cafeteria gave us no confidence or desire to try it. Noise carries from both sides of the rooms, and with many pensioners staying there, it starts early. The beach loungers are technically present, but stacked together and secured with a chain. When guests were asked about their vacation, people said they couldn't wait to get home. The children's playroom is open only one hour daily, something we were told at check-in despite booking specifically for it.
