Grand Hotel Gagra

A great hotel in the middle of the city of gagra.

We were nervous after reading the reviews, but our experience has been very positive. The rooms are clean, the linens get changed, and housekeeping is done regularly. The beach is no more than five minutes away, and everything else is within walking distance. The food is quite good, almost like home cooking. We highly recommend this hotel!

The view was absolutely stunning, probably better than any I've had at the grand hotel Abkhazia. It really stayed with me, though maybe I was simply in a particularly good mood. The bed was excellent and the linens were snow-white. The room was clean and spacious. I did notice the shower curtain in a three-star hotel, and a housekeeper had spilled bleach in the middle of the room. I would've made more of an effort to cover the mark, at least with a matching marker. The girls at reception were lovely. I asked for a higher room and they arranged it right away. The breakfast included a cake, which was delicious, thank you. I stayed on the sixth floor, with a restaurant above and a spa in the basement. Everything is close for walking around, eating, and reaching the sea, including Waikiki and Painty. I definitely recommend it!

The rooms were cozy, clean, and comfortable, with cleaning and linen changes carried out every day. The food deserves a 5+, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The private beach is 70 meters from the sea. The location is useful not just for getting to the water, but for reaching the city as well. Anyone looking for comfort should consider this hotel. Families and young couples can both feel at ease here.
