We stayed in July 2025 and came away pleased. The room had a refrigerator, TV, hairdryer, kettle, air conditioning, toiletries, and a balcony clothesline with clothespins. Beach towels were supplied, Wi-Fi was free, though it didn't reach street level, and an iron was available on the floor. The food was varied and tasty, with salads, pastries, and meat dishes, and we never went hungry. The pool serves adults and children, with loungers and umbrellas. The private pebble beach is a five-minute walk away. Loungers are free, umbrellas are limited, but there is a shaded structure. There were occasional short power and water outages. Elevator lines were common, so we used it to reach the 8th floor and usually walked down. The staff were friendly, the room was cleaned daily, and towels were changed when requested. Chilled drinking water was available in the dining room. Cafes on the embankment stay open late and have live music. With a sea-view room, you can hear it. We had a great vacation.

The place was cozy and peaceful, almost like home. My son is a picky eater, but the friendly dining-room girls served delicious food and he always left full and happy. Cleaning was done daily. The pool attendant was very polite and kept checking whether the water felt cold. When we checked out at 12:00 PM, the manager let us keep the room until 7:00 PM so we wouldn't have to walk around the city with our little son. I'm very grateful. It seems especially suitable for couples with children, since there were no drunk, rude, or irritating guests. We stayed in May 2025 and loved it.

The pool is warm and well cared for, and the food is both tasty and varied. For a boarding house with this star rating, it deserves a 👍.

The maids and waiters were pleasant, but the reception staff were rude and indifferent, barely looking up while speaking to guests. The service described in other reviews simply wasn't there. Food was mediocre, and even Said, who is often praised, complained about raw chicken at lunch. The pool was clean. Reaching the beach meant going through bushes and thickets, and the hotel beach had only four umbrellas. The rest was a mess under an unfinished pier, practically beneath a bridge. Water problems were serious. In 35°C (95°F) heat, there was sometimes nothing to flush the toilet with, so you can imagine the smell. During the day the electricity was turned off, with excuses about fallen trees, tangled goats, and whatever else they came up with. We paid 15,000 rubles for a standard room for three, with one double bed and a fold-out sofa. In my opinion that's far too expensive, since excellent hotels in Old Gagra are available for that price. We made the wrong choice and want to warn others.
