Room on Ardzinba 26

Thank goodness I didn't stay there 🙏. We were only walking past when we went inside, and at first it looked like another abandoned building. Then I was shocked to see people there in robes 🤪. The dampness, cold, stench, and filth were awful. This isn't merely dirty, it felt unfit for living. There is plenty of other housing nearby for every budget.

The cafe on the property serves delicious food, and the room is at least usable for sleeping. Unfortunately, living there was a nightmare. We arrived in July 2025, on our first trip to Abkhazia, and were placed in a two-story building closer to the sea. The carpet was stained, the shower dirty, and the toilet reeked of sewage. The room itself smelled musty, while the air conditioner leaked straight onto the floor. The whole impression was ruined the moment we opened the door. Light sleepers should know that peacocks roam the grounds and squawk very loudly at night and early in the morning.

The scenery is absolutely stunning, and because it was my three children's first time at the seaside, they had a good experience. Comfort, however, is another matter. We stayed in June 2023 in a three-bed room with a double bed whose mattress was stained with urine and a barely usable sofa. When I asked where a fourth person should sleep, they brought a broken folding bed. The air conditioning didn't work, there was no internet or Wi-Fi anywhere on the grounds except the beach, and the room was never cleaned. They only emptied the bin. Linen was changed every three days. There was no hair dryer, and the TV had five channels, three in Russian. Peacocks wandered near a dumpster, perhaps by a playground or something else. The beach is close, but the large pebbles hurt barefoot, so we bought special shoes. A sun lounger and umbrella cost 100 rubles each. Meals are included in the package at 400 rubles per person, with everything else paid separately. I felt ill once, though I couldn't tell whether it was the food or heatstroke. The food was generally decent, with salads, soups, pancakes, syrniki, and pastries, but coffee was impossible to get, not even instant. We skipped excursions because a full day would have been too much for the children. If comfort matters most, I wouldn't recommend it.

I stayed in room 9 for nine days, and cleaning was carried out only three times. There was theft from the rooms, including stolen money and other things. I reported it at reception, but on the final day of departure there was zero response, despite everything apparently being handled competently. It was the end of the season, and they seemed to do whatever they wanted. A major minus for management. I don't recommend this hotel. I wish everyone happiness and health.
