We stayed from the night of August 1-2 until checkout on August 12. Although check-in was scheduled for after 2:00 PM on August 2, we were admitted without trouble and simply paid extra for the early night. Our fourth-floor room faced the mountains and had plenty of space, a king-size bed, and a fold-out chair. The tiled floor made slippers useful. The bathroom was roomy, but without shelves for shampoo or gel, so we kept things on the sink and in the shower. The balcony was shared. The public beach outside is usually easy to find a place on, since it isn't as packed as Sochi or Adler. We preferred swimming to the right of the hotel because the breakwaters directly in front could hurt your feet, and there was even a spike you might trip on. Power cuts happened in Abkhazia, but they lasted no more than 5 minutes. Breakfast was disappointing even for people who aren't fussy. We did enjoy the pancakes with pear jam, but the dining room is on an outdoor veranda with few tables, and used tables weren't wiped before the next guests sat down. For lunch, we crossed the road to the "Lodochka" dining room. Cleaning was done daily only until August 5th, and even then it was barely cleaning. From August 5th through our departure on August 12th, there was none. Reception insisted cleaning was happening and that we just hadn't noticed it. Excursions were available, but we hired a private minivan and driver to visit Lake Ritsa from a man selling trips outside. For getting around the city, we called a taxi through an app. At checkout, we handed the keys to reception and left. The hotel is good, but it has noticeable shortcomings.

We spent 10 days here and never needed to search for another restaurant. The food at this cafe was affordable and delicious, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. My 10-year-old son especially loved the seafood pasta, while I thought the fish soup was divine. The staff 👍 and the chef 🧑🍳 were amazing, and the whole place felt beautiful, cozy, and fun. Thank you for the hospitality!

The sunsets and sunrises here are incredible. You can even lie in your room and watch dolphins' tails appear in the distance. The elevator is as good as in Turkey, and the air conditioning works just right. We've returned to this hotel for several years because it really is the best. It's on the first line, and breakfast feels just like home, with porridge, coffee, charlotte, and everything else needed. Everyone is friendly and great. Anyone who comes here won't regret it. Have a great holiday!

Room 314 had a superb view, and the hotel itself was clean and cozy. Breakfast always included fresh porridge and tasty buns, which we really liked. We only tried Cafe Ruslan once. It was expensive and not worth the stars, 1400 for two lula, two tomatoes, and an eggplant 🤢🤢🤢. We didn't go back. Opposite Lodochka, though, there's an excellent cafeteria with very tasty food.

The sea is only a minute away, and there's a nearby cafe with tasty food at reasonable prices. The room itself had everything needed for a comfortable stay, and I had no real complaints about its facilities. The tiny bathroom trash can was the one small practical issue, so I emptied it myself every day. The service was another matter. Receptionists were unfriendly, unhelpful, and often absent. We left the key outside every day, but after three days the room still looked untouched, with a sandy, dusty floor even though everything was in its place. When I finally asked at reception, they explained that bed linen was changed on the fourth day, meaning cleaning happened every four days. On that fourth day the linen was changed and the room was cleaned, and I had no complaints about the quality then. Nobody had told us that the toilets were cleaned daily, either. Breakfast was included, but the hours were inconvenient. If you arrived late, sometimes everything had already been taken. It was always the same basic selection, porridge, tea of an unknown brand, an omelet, an egg, or a pancake. I was honestly glad three meals a day weren't included. We stayed in July 2023, and I wouldn't want to return.
