Villa Leona

The beach was only a 7-minute walk away, with enough free loungers and umbrellas for everyone. We also booked an excursion at reception, and everything went perfectly and on time. One day we followed the path from the hotel up the mountain, which took about an hour, and found beautiful scenery with a mountain river nearby. Our stay was from September 11th to 18th. The room had a private bathroom, towels for the room and beach, a kettle, cups, spoons, plates, a TV, hairdryer, and air conditioning. We received three meals a day, including morning porridge such as rice, oatmeal, or millet, plus choices of two first courses and two second courses. Dinner also offered two options. The food was tasty, and even our 5-year-old ate with us, so nobody went hungry. The staff were polite, and all the girls in the dining room were especially pleasant and attentive. We enjoyed the stay and will definitely return. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Gagra.

Set in the picturesque Gagripsh Gorge beside the Gagripsh Mountain River, this hotel has comfortable rooms with air conditioning, a TV, and internet. The rooms are cleaned every day, and there’s also a private beach. The sea is about a leisurely 10-minute walk away. The food was delicious and the service friendly. There were occasional power cuts, but they barely bothered us because we spent most of our time by the sea or out walking. The staff were simply wonderful. Thank you for a great holiday, we’re looking forward to coming back.

The mountain gorge outside the window and the nearby stream made the surroundings especially picturesque. I stayed for 8 days and enjoyed everything, including the reasonable prices and the choice of rooms across four floors. Meals are served three times a day rather than as a buffet, and the home-style cooking was delicious and filling. The staff were warm and helpful, including Victoria at reception, Svetlana from housekeeping, Svetlana from food service, Ruslan, the hotel owner, and the waitresses. A huge thank you to all of them. One warning, though, and this concerns Abkhazia in general rather than the hotel: rotavirus is circulating. I got sick, but everyone at the hotel looked after me and I recovered in 2 days. Stay alert, bring your medication and cash.

The private balconies were a lovely touch, especially for morning coffee and views of the surrounding nature 😍. The rooms are clean, pleasantly scented, and non-smoking, with convenient parking too. The receptionist and his wife are very polite and greet guests with a smile 😸. I highly recommend this hotel 🏨!!!!
