The railway line is only a few meters away, and trains now use it often. The location itself is fairly good, close to the sea, but getting there means walking along a road where local Abkhazians drive dangerously. The hotel and rooms look worn and need cosmetic repairs. My room faced a wall covered with air conditioners from the neighboring building. Wi-Fi was almost nonexistent. Meals were repetitive, porridge with eggs for breakfast, a meatless first course at lunch, and a light snack in the evening. You won't starve, but there are no tasty treats or famous pastries. I won't return.

The beach is big, and hotel guests get free sun loungers and umbrellas. The sea is close, though the route includes a short, inconvenient stretch along the road. This is a small, cozy place with spacious rooms and helpful staff. The food is home-cooked, portions are generous, and extra dishes can be ordered, although there isn't much fruit. Some parts of the hotel could use a facelift. Still, I would recommend it.

The people here were warm and friendly, and the home cooking was both tasty and varied, which is no small thing when you're traveling with children. We stayed in September in a two-room suite with a huge terrace. The children had plenty of space to play, while we could sit outside under the starry Abkhazian sky with a bottle of good wine. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back.

The beach is close by, with free umbrellas and sun loungers for guests. Meals are tasty enough, but they're simple and nothing fancy.

It's a decent place overall. The main problems were that Wi-Fi only worked on the first floor, and the bed linen was extremely old, with yellowed pillows.
