PORTORITSA 4* The hotel is in Tsandripsh village, about a 15-minute drive from the border. It's a very quiet place. In the off-season, only a couple of grocery shops were open, while cafes and water activities operate during the season. I didn't notice any playgrounds, so it seems better suited to older couples and people looking for peace and quiet. PORTORITSA itself is lovely, tasteful, and beautifully renovated. The lobby has free tea and water from a cooler, with water also available on every floor. There's a bar serving coffee and alcoholic drinks. Outside, there are two heated pools, one for adults and one for children, plus a small slide. The children's pool was warm. They were working on adding another tent to heat the larger pool, since the existing ones couldn't warm that much water. A small sauna is beside the pool, and in the off-season it was included in the stay. The courtyard has wicker seating, a children's area, and a conference room. The rooms and lobby have Wi-Fi, and it worked perfectly without a VPN. One odd thing is that phones automatically switch to Georgian time, which is one hour ahead, even though Abkhazia uses Moscow time. Food is served buffet-style. In the off-season there was enough, though not a huge selection: side dishes, meat, sliced vegetables, fruit, pickles, fresh bread, a toaster, and a coffee machine with whole beans. When ordered at the hotel, meals cost 1,000 rubles for adults and 500 rubles for an 8-year-old child. My standard room was small but had everything needed, including a kettle, tea set, mini-fridge, and 0.5 bottle of water per person, which could be refilled at the cooler. Toiletries, robes, slippers, and beach towels were provided. Family and comfort rooms are also available. Cleaning was daily, and every floor had an ironing board and iron. The wide beach is across the road, just a 2-3-minute walk away. Dogs are along the route. They weren't aggressive, but you do need to watch out for them. The hotel itself is 10/10, although the general conditions in Abkhazia should be taken into account.

I came away feeling like an ambassador for both Apsny and now PORTORISA. It's a new hotel with an Italian-style design, bright clean rooms, and brand new plumbing. There are a pool and sauna, and bikes, ATVs, and scooters can be arranged. The staff were incredibly loyal and did everything possible to make guests comfortable. Bekmurza in the kitchen, Kevor at the driver's desk, Vika at reception, and Rimma at the manager's desk all deserve thanks for the way they looked after us. They even arranged private spa trips for me based on my suggestions. They could still expand the pool heating and underfloor heating, and the advertised wellness program would be better with regular transportation. They also put together a festive dinner and program for February 23rd, along with an evening cinema. As for the sea, I don't agree that it is dirtier in Tsandripsh than farther away. The shoreline is simply different from Pitsunda. This is a good vacation choice for anyone wanting to escape crowds and bustle.

The staff were especially polite and helpful, and Renata and Veronica deserve a separate mention for always being ready to help and chat. This is a lovely family hotel with comfortable rooms that include a kettle, refrigerator, and heated floors. There is plenty to do on the property too, from the pool and sauna to board games. The food was delicious, with a good-quality buffet 👌.

My husband and I stayed here from March 9, 2026, to March 15, 2026, and had a calm, comfortable, cozy stay. The hotel is new, spotlessly clean, and has well-kept grounds with lounge areas furnished with sofas, armchairs, tables, and umbrellas. The reception girls welcomed us with a bouquet of mimosas and a card on arrival. They listened to what we wanted and found us a terrace room, apparently the best one in the hotel. I’m sorry I don't remember their names, but they were clearly professionals and handled everything with care. Lyubov Sergeevna was wonderful, generous, and positive. She told us a lot about places to visit in Abkhazia in March, and was both a pleasant conversationalist and an expert in her field. The young people working in the restaurant and lobby bar also deserve thanks. They were practically invisible, yet dishes were replenished on time and tables were cleared promptly. Breakfast in the cozy restaurant was a pleasure. We definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed from August 9 to August 16 in Suite 417 on the fourth floor. The hotel gave us a genuinely relaxing break, with a warm atmosphere created by the attentive receptionists and smiling maids. Many thanks to all the staff for their care. The beach was well equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, and it was spacious. There was also a properly arranged sports area where children and adults could play football and volleyball. The hotel owners clearly put a lot of work and soul into the design and all the small details. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner concept and truly relaxed here. We’ll definitely come back to Abkhazia, and only to our unforgettable Portoritsa Hotel. I wish the hotel prosperity and plenty of new ideas as construction continues. I absolutely recommend it. Come, you won't regret it. The whole place is focused on its guests. You’re the best 👍👍👍😄
