Afon Rezort Hotel

I especially liked the room with the mountain view on the 4th floor. The rooms are stylish and beautiful, the linen is soft and snow-white, and the staff are pleasant. There’s a nearby restaurant with a varied menu, where we tried fish, breakfast, and wine. Everything was delicious.

This hotel doesn’t provide five-star service, three stars at most. We wanted to have breakfast and then stay there, since the suite is almost always available, but the welcome was unfriendly. We were told, “Go wait,” even though nobody was at reception, during the period from 8:30 to 9:00. I don’t recommend the hotel. The sea water is cold because there’s a river nearby. Enjoy your stay.

Our one-room deluxe room was spacious, clean, and in good condition, with practically new furniture and plumbing. It had bathrobes and slippers, and towels were changed whenever we asked. The room was cleaned daily, while bed linen was changed every three days. Special thanks to the maid Natalia, who cleans very well. Meals were buffet-style, with a good selection and enough for everyone. For national food, there’s a nearby cafe with grilled dishes, and we sometimes went there for dinner because everything was tasty. The city beach was within walking distance through a very convenient underground passage, although during our stay it only had sun loungers, without changing cabins or umbrellas. The staff were responsive and friendly, and I hope to return. I wish the administration prosperity and well-being. Two requests, please clean the river near the hotel terrace and buy a coffee machine. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

The sea is right across the street, and the hotel’s design makes it feel like a small European hotel. Our mountain-facing room overlooked private houses, with some road noise audible near the sea, but the soundproofing was excellent. We didn’t hear the neighbors or their TV. Thick curtains helped us sleep well, and there was air conditioning. The room stayed clean, and there was always enough water. Towels were sometimes not changed, but staff brought fresh ones when asked, and even provided an extra beach towel. A crystal-clear river runs beside the hotel, with pleasant frog sounds in the evenings. The staff are friendly, and you can negotiate with everyone if you express yourself politely. I don’t understand expecting five-star service from a three-star hotel. For its price range, this is the best hotel in New Athos.
