Casa Del Sol Hotel

We first stayed in October 2024 and came back in November. The hotel is close to both the sights and the sea, and the rooftop has a beautiful, atmospheric relaxation area with panoramic views. After long walks through the magical places of New Athos, the warm pool with its Jacuzzi was a welcome place to unwind. The room provided robes, towels, a good hairdryer, shower products, and two pillows of different sizes for each guest. The mattresses and blankets were comfortable, and the linen was clean. We’ll definitely return.

We spent the New Year holidays here as a family, and it was a great choice. The hotel is very clean, has a pleasant interior, and the staff are responsive. The warm, heated pool was especially enjoyable in winter. Swimming there in the morning after waking up or in the evening before bed, then sitting in the jacuzzi, was wonderful. The room had everything a family with a child might need, including a refrigerator, slow cooker, kettle, and dishes. We cooked omelets, fried eggs, and porridge in the morning, and whatever we wanted in the evening, with delicious wines and natural juices of Abkhazia. A cave, monastery, fortress, waterfall, grotto, park, and the sea are all within walking distance. Even in winter, it feels like a fairy tale. Liliya, thank you for such a fabulous holiday. May your hotel prosper, we’ve already decided to come back more than once.

We stayed for 11 days and never regretted choosing this hotel. It isn’t on the beachfront, but the walk to the sea is short and easy. Our room was small but cozy, with a TV we never used, refrigerator, air conditioning, and hairdryer. It also had a slow cooker for home cooking, plus a kettle, dishes, and plenty of towels. The rooftop lounger is good for morning sunbathing, while the table works well for eating and drinking in the evening. The mountain view is stunning, and the pool is beyond praise. Having a refrigerator with cold drinks on site was very helpful, since we didn’t need to go to the store. A big thank you to Irina, who was always busy from morning until evening, and to Dima for running the hotel and giving us a wonderful vacation. We wish you luck, success, and prosperity.

The place itself is attractive, and the rooms feel cozy, with comfortable mattresses and pillows. Still, the stone and tile throughout made the room feel cold whenever the weather wasn't hot. On rainy days, it was like being in a cave. The cleaning staff were lovely, although the management did not seem friendly or understanding, especially given our situation with babies. This disappointing first stay in Abkhazia affected the whole vacation, and we still don't understand why things were handled that way. The pool also needed cleaning sooner, since the children didn't want to swim with insects in it. For what we experienced, the price was definitely too high. The cleaning staff, though, were great.
