The staff were excellent, and the cafe was great. Our 2023 room also had the promised sea view, but the age of the rooms wasn't mentioned. The ground floor has a musty smell, probably because the hotel is so close to the sea. A train runs directly outside the fence, though it doesn't come often enough to be a major nuisance. We barely swam in the sea last year because it was dirty, so we visited other beaches in Sukhumi. It's a good place, but the rooms really need updating.

The sea is nearby, and the grounds are spacious and well looked after. We stayed with our family in June 2023 and were especially happy with the welcoming, helpful staff. Everything on the menu was fresh and delicious, and the children enjoyed it too. We'd happily return to the Mandarin.

From the room, you can see the sea. We spent two nights there in August 2023 and found the rooms nice, with an en-suite shower and Wi-Fi.

The kitchen was what I liked. I didn't stay in the room, so I can't comment on it. The hotel is on the first line, about 20 meters away.

We only went for a day, but the place left a strong impression. The courtyard gives access to the sea, and the on-site cafe serves very tasty homemade food in huge portions for a low price. The room itself has nothing special, and with scenery this beautiful, you don't really want to spend time indoors anyway.
