The location is the only real advantage here. It’s close to the sea and the central embankment, but that’s all. I’ve visited Abkhazia before, and this is my first time writing a review. I stayed in the Eucalyptus building on the 13th floor. One elevator serves the entire fifteen-story building, it holds five people, and staff carry huge bags of bed linen in it while arguing with vacationers because nobody else can get inside. Check-in was meant to be Monday at 12:00, but we only got our room at 6:00 on Tuesday. The maid struggled to find two hand towels and two sheets. Pillowcases, duvet covers, and one large towel arrived by evening, while the second large towel finally appeared on Thursday. The floor-to-ceiling windows cover two walls. The view is beautiful, but the afternoon sun makes the room unbearably hot. With the air conditioner set to 17 degrees, the room stayed at 32 degrees because it couldn’t cope. The linen and white towels were dirty and stained, and there weren’t enough bedding items, towels, or dishes in the dining room. The dining room food was awful. We had sour rice and pasta, everything was very greasy, and it was almost unbelievably tasteless. Chicken was boiled in the morning, fried for lunch if it wasn’t eaten, and served as leftovers in the evening. They did the same with pollock. We can’t wait for this vacation to end. I don’t recommend the hotel.
