It’s awful at the moment. I’ll return in December to see the natural beauty of this sandy beach. Right now it’s covered with loungers, bungalow-like structures, umbrellas, and other clutter intended to make things comfortable for tourists. The beach cafe looks like it came straight from the 90s, and the children’s entertainment is the same. The music is unbelievably loud, while the children’s screaming seems to shake the whole coastline.

The sea is clean and the beach isn’t crowded, with changing rooms, toilets, and showers available. It’s sandy, though the entrance is rocky and has small pebbles. You can eat there at reasonable prices, with a bar and cafeteria on site. The average cafeteria bill is about 500 rubles per person, the food is fresh, and there’s a nearby seafood section. The smoked stingray is excellent. A sunbed under a shared shelter costs 200 rubles for the entire day. From central Sukhum, you’ll need a minibus or taxi, costing 30 rubles by minibus or from 150 rubles by taxi. Watch the time, minibuses stop running at 7:00 PM, after that you’ll need a taxi. I recommend the beach.

This sandy beach is beautiful, cozy, and well maintained, just a few minutes from central Sukhum, with everything you need. I especially want to mention Dmitry, a real professional who gives inexpensive, high-quality massages. He now offers four-handed massages too, and the quality is better than the price suggests 🙏 If you’re facing the sea, look to the left of the Zhemchuzhina cafe. They’re easy to find, just ask for Dmitry from Orenburg.

There are many taxis waiting at the entrance, and our hotel had arranged a transfer to the beach. Later, local taxi drivers told us it was the best one in the area. The waterline has 1-2 meters of pebbles, with sand farther out. Loungers cost from 200 rubles under a shared shelter up to 1,500 rubles for a large umbrella with four loungers. There’s a bar that accepts bank transfers, along with stalls selling corn, sweets, and drinks. At the Mocha Bar fast food restaurant, we ordered a "boat". It was delicious, with light dough and plenty of filling.
