Samson Hotel

The owner is warm, welcoming, and quick to respond, and the staff are just as helpful. They were always ready to advise us about what to do and where to go. We were very happy with our stay and would gladly recommend this hotel. The location worked well for us, about a five-minute walk from the sea at the start of the embankment. A shop is close by and the market takes around 15 minutes to reach. The hotel itself is clean and well kept, with a cooler offering hot water on every floor. There is an elevator, which was useful since our room was on the fifth floor. Guests can use a private area with tables and a canopy, plus a café serving food at reasonable prices. We also appreciated having laundry facilities.

From June 7th to the 15th, everything suited us. The hotel is modern and clean, only three minutes from the beach and about 15 minutes from the central market. The staff were friendly, the room was cleaned as promised in the price list, and the towels and linens were changed. There’s a lovely café in the courtyard with very good food. We’re planning to return to Sukhum next year, and we’ll stay at the Samson again. Highly recommended.

The staff clearly care about their service and were very friendly. The hotel is clean, the room was serviced every day, and the linens were changed every three days. When we requested blankets, they brought them without a problem. The weak point is the soundproofing. We could hear practically everything from the neighboring room. With their air conditioner running while ours was off, it sounded like being on an airplane. The window view isn't very appealing, although that isn't really the hotel's fault. The clean beach is only about five minutes away.

We stayed in room 202 from September 24 to October 5, 2023. The linens and towels were crystal white!!!! To me, that says a lot about the service, and they were changed often because we had a child. The hotel is clean and close to the sea. Our room faced the courtyard and had no balcony, though some rooms have sea or mountain views. There was a safe and all the necessary appliances. Clothes could be dried downstairs beside the laundry room, and laundry service was available. An iron and ironing board were on the ground floor. Each floor had a cooler with hot and cold water, and there was also a dining room. Power cuts happen often in Sukhumi, but this hotel has its own transformer. The manager was polite, attentive, and knowledgeable. Thank you for everything.
