El Tarter Apartments

The three-bedroom apartment is spacious, with two bathrooms, comfortable beds, and clean sheets. The low rating is about the checkout requirements and the large deposit, not the size of the apartment. Checkout at 10AM is far too early, especially when guests MUST LEAVE THE APPARTMENT CLEAN. We had to clean the kitchen, remove all bed sheets and bathroom towels, and take the rubbish out of the building. For five people staying three nights, we were given only one bag. On vacation, I would rather wake around 9AM, have breakfast, and leave, so 11AM would be much more reasonable. I knew about the 10AM checkout, but not that I would be expected to work as a cleaner early in the morning. Since guests remove the linen, take out the rubbish, and clean the kitchen, how much work is really needed before the rooms are ready at 17:00? The floors and vacuuming should take no more than an hour, with the beds then arranged. There was also a lot of dust under the beds. This should all have been explained clearly when booking, and I would choose somewhere else if I visit Andorra again. The deposit was 200EUR. I don't know whether that is normal in Andorra, but I've never paid 150% of one night's accommodation as a deposit. There seemed to be little in the apartment worth that amount, and as a foreign visitor you have no real way to challenge it if they keep the money. I recorded a video before leaving because I don't trust the owners of this business. There is a reason their Booking score is only 8.3. There are seven hours between checkout and the next check-in, yet the staff apparently don't even vacuum under the beds. See the picture from one of them. Someone with a dust allergy could have an attack.

I want to warn everyone. I expected them to act decently and refund my money in full, but they knew they were wrong, had not provided the room with four beds, and still chose to remove us and lie instead of investigating or resolving the issue. They did not return my 620€, and they showed no concern for their guests or their reputation. I never even stayed in their hotel, so I had every legal right to receive a refund for the service they failed to provide. The whole situation cost me days and a lot of nerves during my vacation. Don't fall for this. Pierre & Vacances Andorra is a network of cheats and scammers, in my experience. They take your money, then it turns out they don't provide the apartment you ordered. The mountain view and closeness to the ski slopes made the location excellent. The apartment was designed very well, with loads of storage and enough room for six adults. The kitchen and shared living area had everything we needed, and everyone found the beds comfortable.

We were very happy with the hotel, especially the spacious room and all the useful facilities. There was a stocked kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, two bathrooms, a TV, and a large refrigerator. Since we stayed in summer, the lack of air conditioning wasn't a problem because it gets quite cool at night in the mountains. The mattresses were a disappointment, as they were thin and rather hard. Parking was available, though getting our very large car through the tiny garage was stressful. We only spoke briefly with reception, but the lady we met was welcoming.
