The lifts and ski slopes are only a couple of minutes away on foot, which makes this a great choice for a skiing holiday. Food, service, and the general experience all get my highest recommendation.

The location is fantastic, roughly three minutes from the lifts, and the ground-floor ski lockers have a rear exit that gets you onto the slopes faster. Just remember that the hotel is beside the 'Irish Corner', with two bars and two nightclubs that can stay lively into the early morning. We enjoyed Paddy's and had no trouble sleeping, but the noise will definitely be noticeable if you're a light sleeper, struggle to fall asleep, or dislike drunk conversations. The food is perfectly serviceable, with more choices in town and on the mountain. Pays to read reviews, folks.

The room was clean and the bed was fine, but the heat was uncomfortable even with the AC set to its lowest level. Some staff were genuinely helpful, while others acted as if they didn't want to be there. Nighttime noise from drunk people made sleep impossible. The food was mostly frozen or canned, although the meat and fish cooked on the spot, along with the salads, were good.

I stayed a few days in Mar '25 for skiing and was given a top-floor room, which reduced the street noise somewhat. It can still get loud in the early hours, so light sleepers should stay elsewhere. The heating was the biggest problem. Every afternoon I had to call reception to switch it off, even after being told on day two that it wouldn't reset. It did, every day, to 23C. Opening the window wasn't practical when snow came in. Breakfast was average and only just warm at 07:45. The food sits under lights rather than heaters, so food hygiene didn't seem like a priority. I also ate dinner there once for 25 euros, and it was average. I didn't use the bar or spa. Would I stay again? No, because of the heating.
