The ice cream was delicious, really the only thing at the bar I’d go back for. The food was ordinary and quite expensive, and the service was dreadful. We went for lunch because of the reviews mentioning Chelo. Three guys were supposedly serving. After a long wait, my partner asked one of them to take our order, and he said he would. A few minutes later he sat behind us with his plate and cutlery and ate without acknowledging us. We had to go to the bar, where the man serving ice cream finally took the order. Half an hour passed with no food; by then the first waiter had finished eating and was smoking. He walked back inside with a lit cigarette and came out again still smoking. The three men spoke only Spanish and struggled to understand Catalan. We also wanted to try the pool. It looked like a nice place, though there were no umbrellas or loungers. On our visit a large group had taken it over, shouting, jumping, and throwing themselves into the water however they liked, with nobody watching out for everyone’s wellbeing. So, bar: I wouldn’t eat there again. Ice cream: delicious. Pool: potentially nice, but that visit was off-putting.

The facilities are in unbeatable condition, and it’s a very pleasant place.

La Mola d'Encamp's swimming pool is really good. It’s on the small side for the number of people who come, but still very nice.
