Hotel Musher

The hotel was spotlessly clean and warm, with skiing only a short walk away. Breakfast cost a small extra amount but was great value. The staff were helpful and friendly, and I would highly recommend staying here.

This hotel sits in the middle of town, around 120m from the slopes and about 350m from the main bus stop for airport transfers and buses to the other ski areas. Shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs are nearby. Inside, it is modern, with a small breakfast room and a shared lounge containing TVs and vending machines. My room was very clean and had a comfortable bed, desk and chair, flat-screen TV, wardrobe, free electronic safe, and a bathroom with a bath, shower, toiletries, and plenty of towels. The bath had no plug, so bring a travel plug if you want to soak. Hot water was always available and the room was cleaned daily. Wi-Fi worked for phone calls and video calls, though it was slower on my laptop. Unlike every other ski hotel I have stayed in, this one was not unbearably hot, so I could keep the windows closed at night. That mattered because nearby bars, including the noisy Irish bars and "Bilboard Niteclub", often continued until 4 in the morning. My room was 406, above the reception entrance, but the excellent double glazing reduced the noise to an acceptable level. I heard nothing from other guests, and although the lift was nearby, its occasional quiet hum was not a problem. Breakfast cost an optional €5 per day and ran from 8-10am. The buffet included cereals, assorted bread and toasters, ham and cheese, spreads, hot bacon and scrambled eggs, tea and coffee, juice, pastries, yoghurts, and fruit. Food was regularly replenished, and tables were always available. One of the two dining-room TVs showed webcams, weather, and conditions for all the Andorra ski areas. There is a free ski and boot locker room near reception. Since the keys stay on a rack inside, anyone can access them, so bring a ski lock if that concerns you. Reception overlooks the room, and there is CCTV. The official address on Carrer Catalunya is more like a back entrance and is often locked. On arrival, use Carrer del Maia, where reception is located and where you should enter with skis or boards. Both doors can be opened at night with the room card. I loved the hotel and would happily return. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Romina at reception, who spoke perfect English and was particularly kind.

The cleaning team deserve special thanks. Every day our room was perfectly tidy and spotless, showing real care and attention to detail. The rest of the staff also provided friendly, professional service, making the whole stay wonderful. Highly recommended.

The location is very good, but the rooms are extremely small and basic for €180 a night. Service was nonexistent.
