Somriu Hotel Vall Ski

We’ve stayed at this lovely hotel three times, and the staff have always been friendly, helpful, and good at making the stay enjoyable. Our rooms were comfortable, with a free safe, a large-screen TV, a powerful shower, and faultless cleaning. There was plenty of choice at both dinner and breakfast. The hotel also has a spa and gym. We had one included spa session with a sauna, steam room, and aqua pools with massage bubbles. For skiing, lockers are available with a returnable deposit, and you can book the transfer bus to the ski-in ski-out area at the Soldeu resort, just 5 minutes away. We’ll definitely return, although I’ve probably forgotten something.

The staff were exceptionally lovely and friendly throughout, and I hope they’re told how much that was appreciated. The hotel also has an excellent location and great parking. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the shower stayed hot after a full day of skiing. The cold buffet was excellent, but in my opinion the hot food was overcooked and dry, possibly because of the heaters. I think hot breakfast should be served at the table when requested, and the evening hot dishes could be cooked at the counter while being served. The buffet restaurant could also start service at 6.30pm. Thank you for a great week.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel is in a decent spot near the center of Soldeu. It’s 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes on foot from the ski lift, with a free shuttle available in both directions. The rooms are tiny but acceptable, while the spa area is very outdated and needs a facelift. The smoke detectors also react to shower steam as if it were smoke, so the front desk called every time to check whether we were alright or burning alive. I’m still alive, FYI. The buffet was quite limited, and the heaters above the hot food didn’t keep it warm, leaving much of it at room temperature. The hotel uses outsourced workers from South America, and I hope they’re paid very well.

We’re returning guests and stayed in room 105 for 2 years in a row. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. When our flight was cancelled last year, they did everything they could to support us. This year they were amazing again and even swapped our rooms so we could have the same one as before. The spa has everything needed after a long day skiing, the food is very good, and the rooms are perfectly clean. The location is ideal too, with the minibus reaching the slopes in only a few minutes. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Thank you 🙏🏼 highly recommend xx
