The view from the back was fantastic, looking over the stream and straight up toward the mountain. The location is also right beside the gondola, a local supermarket, and several good restaurants, which made it an excellent base for our stay. Check-in was the one thing to watch out for. The on-site reception was closed when I arrived, and after waiting around 30 minutes, I discovered from my messages that keys had to be collected at a sister hotel about 200 meters away. Once I got there, everything went smoothly, and the staff were welcoming and helpful.

For a week of skiing, this was a good base with a great gondola location. The rooms were decent, though a little dated, apart from what looked like a new bathroom. Staff were great, and I’d stay again. El Cabin downstairs was particularly convenient, with good food and drinks.

The gondola is just two minutes from the front door, and there are free lockers under the apartments for ski equipment. There’s also El Cabin downstairs in the same building, serving food and hosting themed nights. It’s fun, and the music doesn’t run too late. My room was clean and spacious, with all the basics, and when I reported a leaking shower it was repaired the same day. Check-in was confusing because it took place down the road beside the ski hire shop, and I hadn’t seen that information beforehand. Even so, it was a great place to stay and we’ll be back.

The rooms are simple but clean and spacious, with everything needed for a stay. The location is the real advantage, right beside the gondola and in the centre of the village.
