The gondola was only a three-minute walk away, and the slopes, including the wider Grandvalira area, were in great shape and pleasantly uncrowded. Our two-bedroom apartment was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and had a beautiful slope view. We stayed 20-27 Dec and had a fantastic week. Everything with the hosts was smooth. Communication was excellent, reception was faultless, and departure was just as easy and welcoming. The shop downstairs was so useful that we never needed the car. For anyone driving, the basement parking next door cost €100 for the week and was good value. It was a brilliant base for a ski holiday, with the location, service, comfort, and views all better than expected. We’d gladly return to Apartments Turistics Pirineu in Soldeu.

The lifts and everything else in Soldeu are practically on the doorstep, which is hard to beat. The apartments have some unusual features, probably because they were divided into smaller units, so wardrobes are in the living rooms and the fridge is outside. Still, the price is excellent, and the place has everything needed. It’s warm, clean, and comfortable. We come here three times a year.
