The Eclipse Boutique Suites

The short walk to the beautiful Corniche beach was one of our favorite things about this stay. The hotel staff were caring and attentive from beginning to end, and the reception team and manager made us feel at home right away. Amanula also looked after our car very well with an additional cost, which gave us peace of mind. It was a pleasant and memorable visit.

The reception staff were welcoming and helpful, and the room attendant who handled our luggage also provided good service. The apartment itself, however, felt old, with unpleasant smells from the carpets and mattress as though they hadn’t been cleaned properly. Breakfast at Akko Restaurant was the worst part. We were told it ran from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, but arriving at 9:50 AM meant there was almost nothing left. Staff refused to refill it, saying the food came from outside. The manager promised fried rice, fruits, omelette, and sausage, but after 10 minutes we received only 10 pieces of chicken franks, from a grocery pack worth about AED 3, plus orange juice for four people. We had paid AED 90 per room, yet what we received wasn’t even AED 20 in total. We ended up paying nearly AED 200 for something worth only a fraction of that. When I reminded the restaurant staff of the manager’s promise, they said we were “late,” despite it being before 11 AM. The manager had already left and avoided us, taking no responsibility. The food was average, but the service was the worst I have experienced in the UAE. A spacious, budget-friendly 1BR apartment at around AED 400 may be fine if that’s all you need. Don’t expect modern amenities or a fresh-smelling room, and avoid paying for breakfast because the poor service can ruin the stay. This was my worst breakfast experience in the UAE.

The hotel is in a very convenient part of Abu Dhabi, beside The Mall Abu Dhabi shopping center. Lake Park, the Corniche, and the public beach are also nearby. What lets it down is the lack of hotel parking or a garage. Inside the rooms, the furniture and appliances look old, and some metal parts have visible rust. The central air conditioning can’t be adjusted separately for each room, while the lighting has been designed very poorly.

Eclipse Boutique Suites was a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained, and the staff were consistently friendly, professional, and ready to help. The location gives easy access to the main areas, although traffic can get busy sometimes. It’s a solid vacation option if comfort and good service matter to you. I’d recommend it and would consider staying here again.
