Novel Hotel City Centre (Formerly Mercure Centre)

For the price, Novel Hotel is reasonable if getting around Abu Dhabi matters more to you than comfort. Its central location makes nearby services and the rest of the city easy to reach. The rooms are clean but dated and would benefit from renovation. Facilities are basic, so the hotel suits short, practical stays. Staff service varies, with some employees helpful while others are slower when things get busy.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well organized, and the whole team gave us a warm welcome. Kristina at reception deserves special thanks. She was professional, polite, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made the stay even better. I had a wonderful stay at Novotel City Center and would gladly return. Highly recommended.

The location is very practical, with a large mall, supermarkets, and restaurants within easy walking distance. The beach takes about 30 minutes on foot or around 10 minutes by taxi. An airport bus stop is nearby too, although we found taxis more comfortable and convenient. We've stayed at Novel City Center at least three times, and the staff have always been kind and welcoming. The hotel is clean and comfortable, though it isn't new and shows some wear. The pool area was being renovated during our latest visit, so it didn't affect our experience then. Breakfast is decent, but nothing especially exciting. Still, the hotel offers good service and solid value, making it a dependable base for exploring the city or simply returning to somewhere practical.

The restaurant team deserves particular praise. They are polite, attentive, and ready to help with a smile. Pooja stands out especially, as she is professional, friendly, and makes guests feel genuinely welcome. Her positive attitude and dedication really improve the stay. Novel Hotel also makes a strong first impression. It is clean and well organized, and the way guests are treated shows clear professionalism.
