Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island

The team at Rixos, Saadiyat Island, made an enormous effort to make our stay easier. One person in our party is a double, below knee, amputee and walks well but sometimes needs a little extra thoughtfulness. They arranged the room location to reduce walking and gave us additional help with the loungers around the pool, so enjoying the facility was much easier. Everyone was incredibly helpful. Dinner was especially good, with tasty, well-prepared food and plenty of variety. The drinks were just as impressive, including soft drinks, fresh juices, coffee, tea, and a good selection of alcoholic beverages, all included in the price. The rooms were clean and the atmosphere was relaxing, but the kindness of the staff stood out most. Every waiter and team member genuinely tried to help and often went out of their way to make things perfect. It made the stay feel special, and we would happily return. Recommended.

The reception team was helpful and welcoming, but the staff member who showed us the room and later checked us in seemed indifferent and dissatisfied. We received no information, so we had to work out the lunch and dinner times and available activities ourselves. The dirty carpets in the dull corridors and the unpleasant ground-floor air freshener were disappointing, though they almost felt normal compared with the welcome. The kids club was especially poor, old, empty, and staffed by unfriendly people. My children did not want to stay there. The restaurant and food variety were amazing, but the staff generally looked tired and exhausted. For a Saadiyat holiday, I would choose another hotel next time.

The hotel has a beautiful design and location. The area feels safe, the atmosphere is generally pleasant, it works well for families, and the guests and overall security were good. The location is excellent. However, my rating was mainly affected by room cleanliness, which was below the expected standard. There was also a very noticeable chlorine smell that caused irritation and repeatedly entered the room. I felt the air from the air-conditioning unit might contain dust or mites, leading to discomfort and some health-related irritation, and I noticed insects in the room. Room service was very slow. I ordered dinner and waited more than an hour and fifteen minutes, then had to cancel it. I hope these issues are improved in the future. I am sharing this feedback to help improve the guest experience.
