Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche Hotel

The food was tasty, although it could have been hotter, and the staff were very pleasant. The hotel itself is nice, with a small pool that is partly shaded, which worked well for our child. There’s no beach, though. What disappointed us was the full-board, all-inclusive arrangement. Drinks were only available during meal times in the ground-floor restaurant, which is far from the pool and other areas. That’s very different from full-board packages we’ve had before. With an active little boy who doesn’t want to sit in a restaurant for long, we were especially unhappy that drinks by the pool weren’t included. I’d suggest choosing somewhere else if that matters to you.

The Sofitel Abu Dhabi was generally a pleasant place to stay, and the service was mostly great. We were also upgraded to a “luxury king” room, which was a nice gesture. The welcome gift of small deserts was a thoughtful touch, and the gym had a good range of equipment. As tourists, we found the location convenient enough, although it may suit business travelers particularly well because of the offices next door. Our main issue was maintenance. The windows were extremely dirty, making the otherwise wonderful view hard to enjoy. There was mold in the shower corner, and part of the seal was broken or missing, so water escaped and formed a puddle whenever we showered. They also rejected a package we had sent by FedEx, despite our emailing the hotel beforehand. It wasn’t a bad stay, but at this price the hotel should handle maintenance problems better. The sea view from our higher-floor room was breathtaking, and the spacious room felt genuinely luxurious. The bed deserves special mention too, it was exceptionally comfortable and made sleeping easy. Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide range of top-quality food. Even though I’m posting this review a little late, the hospitality and that luxury feeling are still fresh in my memory. From the atmosphere to the service, everything was 'adipoli' (excellent). As a long-time Accor Group loyalist, I had high expectations during our Eid holiday stay at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, and the hotel met them. I also managed to get a great deal by transferring my Axis Bank credit card reward miles to Accor, so I paid only a small fraction of the actual cost. For anyone wanting luxury on a budget, that’s a useful tip. If you want a sophisticated Abu Dhabi stay with a great view, I highly recommend Sofitel!

Hiteshree made a stressful check-in issue into a smooth experience for our family. Since I didn’t have my children’s Emirates IDs, her quick response and proactive help meant we didn’t have to make a long, inconvenient trip back to Dubai. She quickly scanned our EID’s and obtained the necessary approvals, allowing us to continue our stay without disruption. Her professionalism, practical problem-solving, and genuine willingness to help showed a very high standard of hospitality.
