W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island

The unlimited park package was excellent value and made our family trip to Yas Island even better. Roshni explained the hotel facilities and park access so clearly that we ended up visiting 3 parks instead of the 2 we had planned. Rene from the bell team was also very helpful with our luggage. Our room was fantastic and the breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. The downsides were Saturday night racing noise from Yas Marina Circuit, which made sleeping difficult for us and our child, and the swimming pool being under maintenance. Even so, it was a very enjoyable family stay.

Clifford at Reception/Check-in, Dileep at Breakfast, and Rev in the Lounge/Coffee Shop all went out of their way to make our one-night visit after New Year special. We also had a gorgeous Mediterranean dinner at Pappas Taverna in the W, where the ambience, food, and service were lovely. Our ‘Wow! Room’ really lived up to its name, with a huge lounge and entertaining area, modern interiors, a big bathroom, a walk-in wardrobe, and a balcony overlooking Yas Marina and the Circuit. The view was Amazing! It must be Awesome during F1 season. Even though the hotel is near the airport, plane noise didn’t bother us. Five stars to all three, with a huge THANK YOU from both my Mum and me 😊😊

Once we got past a confusing check-in, with no map or information about the pool, we had an amazing stay at W Hotel Yas Marina. The service in Garage, Papas Taverna, and Brooklyn Chop House was brilliant, and Sandeep took especially good care of us at Garage. Ebru and her team made sure our vegetarian needs were covered. The restaurants served some of the best food we’ve had, with Garage offering lots of cuisine choices and views over the race track. The NYE gala was disappointing for vegetarian variety, though by then we’d eaten so much that managing with a few items was fine. The breakfast buffet was the biggest and most varied we’d seen. The Yas shuttle was convenient for reaching the mall and theme parks. We also noticed several people entering breakfast in pyjamas despite a sign saying they shouldn’t, and it was definitely quieter before 9am.

The W Abu Dhabi is a huge, stylish, lively hotel, and the views from my room over the F1 and NASCAR track action were a major highlight. The dining was incredible, with fine restaurants and a good bar scene, while the rooftop offered a scenic, very "chill" place for drinks. The personnel and concierge were world-class. I liked beginning the day in the gym and finishing it with those views. For me, it delivered the feel of true luxury and deserves 5/5, the Gold Standard on Yas Island.
