Aloft by Marriott Al Ain

The rooftop pool was enjoyable, but there was no shade during the daytime. It was also disappointing that Marriott discounts couldn't be used on food and drinks by the pool, even though those facilities are part of the hotel. The modern design wasn't really to our taste. We found only three main light switches, with two by the entrance controlling the shower and bathroom lights from about 10 feet away. Another main switch turned all the lights on or off, which wasn't very practical for us.

The service was disorganized and extremely frustrating. Staff communication was very poor, and they repeatedly called us while we were sleeping without any valid reason. That felt disturbing and unprofessional. They first told us our belongings were in the car, so we drove about an hour away from the hotel. Later, they called to say the belongings were actually still at the hotel, wasting a great deal of our time and causing unnecessary inconvenience. I would not recommend staying here. Shame on them, they don't even deserve one star.

I really liked the hotel's beautiful modern interior. It was stylish, very clean, and in a perfect location with an amazing view. One suggestion: please add a smart TV that supports Netflix.

The room was especially impressive, it was huge, modern, and clean. Reception also managed to give us the quiet location we requested. There was some outside noise on the first night, but it wasn't too bothersome. We enjoyed our two-night stay. Breakfast had all the basic choices and was good, parking was convenient, and the room service food was tasty and reasonably priced. The Christmas decorations were lovely.
