Ayla Hotel

Punith looked after us throughout the three weeks we were there and was an excellent, very helpful trainer. His gym sessions were suitable for anyone, and I would recommend him as a personal trainer to people in the area. The hotel was really good, and the sauna facilities were good too.

The quiet setting was a pleasant surprise, even though the hotel is close to everything. The rooms were very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the service was excellent. The pool, sauna, and hot jacuzzi were perfect before going to bed. We also met the hotel manager, Mr Mohamed Soussan, who welcomed us and made sure our stay was comfortable. This place feels like the best kept secret in Al Ain.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and there was plenty of free parking near the entrance. The bathroom, however, felt unexpectedly cramped and had a tiny toilet bowl. Breakfast was below what I expected from a 4-star hotel, and the small pool seemed suitable for children but not for proper swimming. Our arrival left a sour impression. No bellboy was at the drop-off area, which was understandable since it wasn't peak check-in time, but a woman at the entrance ignored us while using her phone. I began unloading everything myself. When a large car arrived behind us, she suddenly called the bellboy and told me to move quickly even though I was still unloading. It felt as if we were receiving less attention than the other guests. The stay was mixed, with clear room for improvement in the service and facilities.

The rooms are spacious, parking is plentiful and free, and the hotel is connected to a large supermarket and medical center. Unfortunately, the service was very poor, and the staff often seemed barely willing to help. I couldn't tell whether this was a lack of hospitality or simply cluelessness. The entire hotel apparently had no microwave available for guests' leftover food. I was told that microwaves were only in the suites, which were fully booked during my stay. Even after asking the housekeeping manager, reception, concierge, and restaurant staff, I wasn't allowed to heat my own clearly dated packed food in the restaurant or staff amenities. Housekeeping was also weak, with surfaces left uncleaned for days. The price is high for this level of service, and nearby hotels offer a much better experience.
