Sandy Beach Hotel and Resort

The lifeguards Ravindu and Kaveen were a real highlight for my family. They stayed focused, acted professionally, and responded quickly whenever help was needed. Their attention to safety made us feel comfortable throughout the visit. There was plenty for everyone to do, including the beach, water sports, and other attractions. The small water park was a pleasant surprise, and we actually enjoyed it more than some larger water parks we’ve visited. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we had a wonderful stay at Sandy Beach Hotel. Thank you, Ravindu and Kaveen. We look forward to returning.

The beautiful location facing snoopy island is the only thing I liked about this hotel. Service was basically absent. Nobody came to clean our room, the bar lady always seemed angry, and almond milk was charged separately because it wasn’t included with breakfast. The pool was the worst part, it was boiling hot. The rooms were below average and had nothing special to recommend them.

The location is nice, the food is good, and parts of the day were pleasant. We did have some problems with communication, though. The website didn’t clearly say that children under 4 are free, while the voucher after payment did. At reception, even after we showed our child’s ID, we were told that because the birthday is in two months, the child already counts as 4. That was surprising. The pool initially had sand, sunscreen residue, and small debris, but staff cleaned it after we mentioned the issue, which we appreciated. We also got different directions when trying to find the women’s shower. The place has a lot of potential and we enjoyed parts of the visit. As UAE residents, we might return, but the service and communication need to improve.

For this price, it’s a very decent place. The pool is great, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. There were two cockroaches in the room, which we killed during the evening. The TV also didn’t work, and the service guy wasn’t able to fix it.
