The room was not close to much, and the internet was both very expensive and extremely slow. The bathrooms badly need renovation, while the beds and towels were very old. The washing machine and refrigerator did not work, although only the refrigerator was replaced. Each room had just two or three very dim LED lights. A mosque next door meant very loud prayers four to six times daily, and the old windows did little to block the sound, even for a Muslim guest. Shampoo and soap were not refilled, and cleaners asked for a tip when more was requested. I paid 190 AED per night for two weeks, but extending for a few nights cost at least 260 AED per night.

We stayed for five nights from 2009-10-09 and were happy with nearly everything apart from the breakfast. The property is also fairly far from most places, though that was fine for us. There is a mosque across the road, so loud noise can be heard when prayers are taking place.

My time in Bur Dubai was excellent. The room was large and pleasant, and the kitchen and washing machine were all good. Internet was available at reception too. I’d recommend it if you can get a reasonably affordable price.

This works well for a family because they provide apartments, and the food is good too. I liked the place, though it doesn’t offer hotel-style services.
