Azur Regency Hotel Apartment

I had a great time at a get-together event here. The courteous, attentive staff looked after us throughout, and the food was good and nicely presented. The well-lit, nicely maintained ballroom is a good fit for small gatherings of around 30 people. A solid option for intimate events and celebrations.

I found Azur Regency a comfortable base in Dubai, with spacious, tidy rooms that were well equipped for either a short or longer stay. The location made it easy to reach transport, shopping, and nearby attractions, and the facilities felt like good value for the price. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly, professional, and quick to help. I’d recommend it if you want an easy, comfortable stay.

My fiancé and I spent nine nights in Room 307 at Azur Regency Al Mankhool, and found live bed bugs, with photos, as well as multiple cockroaches. We both ended up with extensive, painful bites. The bite patterns looked to us like this had been going on for a while, rather than being a one-time incident. Finding cockroaches too made us worry about the hygiene and pest control throughout the property. When we raised it, management said their inspection had found no evidence, even though we had photos of the insects and our injuries. They refused a full refund for the room, which we considered uninhabitable. They offered three nights as a goodwill gesture, but would not cover professional dry cleaning to help avoid carrying the infestation to our next destination. We will officially escalate the case to the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Dubai Municipality over health code violations. There were no pros for us. Bed bugs, cockroaches, and management denying the documented evidence. Avoid this place for your health and safety.

James the Manager took great care of us, and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful too. We had about nine rooms booked among our friends, so that made a real difference. The hotel apartment is in Al Mankhool, in old Dubai. Our room was a comfortable size, around 40 sq m. Meena Bazar is close by for shopping, and there are reasonably priced restaurants within about a 10-minute walk.
