The breakfast was so bad that buying a stay without it is the better choice, especially at this price. The rooms are okay and close to the gold souk, though the sheets weren't clean. They did change them each day. It feels like time stopped here 30 years ago.

It’s a cheap hotel, but the shower pressure is very weak, and filling one bucket takes around 5 minutes. The bathroom has a tub, though there’s a water shortage. There’s a fridge in the room, but it’s empty, and no electric kettle for making coffee. The TV only has 10 channels. Bring an adapter too, since the outlets are different.

Good value for the price. There’s no carpet, just flagstone, and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. The breakfast could use more variety.

The breakfast got monotonous after three days: every single day it was chicken, scrambled egg or omelet, potato, and bread. A little variety would help. I also had to call every day to get water, and the bathroom felt ancient, with hot and cold water hard to manage. Still, the hotel is decent for a budget trip if you can overlook those things. My room had the basic amenities, and I had complimentary breakfast.

After a holiday in India, arriving in Dubai and finding this place felt like stepping into a palace, so I’m not sure why the ratings are so low. The room was huge, the sheets were clean, and breakfast was free with English-style food. It’s a great budget hotel near the metro. The bathroom could use a refurb, though.
