Grand Hyatt Dubai

The water park was the highlight for us, fun for adults and children, and there are also two swimming pools. Grand Hyatt is a huge property with four buildings, spacious rooms and excellent facilities. Everything was spotless, which made the stay more comfortable. We tried all the restaurants, including Japanese, Asian fusion, Lebanese and Italian, and every meal was amazing. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional throughout. I highly recommend Grand Hyatt and would love to return. 😊

The gym was excellent for most of my stay, but on one of the final days it was covered in heavy dust, apparently from nearby works. I reported it. There was also sometimes a strange, slightly closed and humid smell. Neither issue was dramatic, but the dust needs better handling and the smell affects the first impression. Service elsewhere was consistently efficient, professional and helpful, even with so many guests. I was at Grand Hyatt Dubai for a congress of around 2,000 people. It’s about 10 minutes from Dubai International Airport and clearly equipped for large conferences. The hotel has many restaurants, event spaces and spa facilities. Breakfast had a huge range, and there were plenty of good international choices for meals and breaks. I especially liked the Italian restaurant. The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable, with warm wood, soft lighting, a seating area and a good desk. The bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the coffee machine, kettle, fruit, water and chocolates. The marble bathroom was modern, spotless and had a generous shower. Housekeeping was exceptional, even polishing the metal fixtures each day until they were free of fingerprints. My room also had an open city view. The lobby is spacious and elegant, with high ceilings and a large indoor garden. This is a solid luxury hotel with comfortable rooms, good food and strong facilities for conferences and wellness.

My son had a great time in the pool, and the attentive lifeguards helped us feel safe and comfortable. Having free water park access during our stay made it even more special for our family. The Filipina lady at reception, whose name I unfortunately forgot, was polite, welcoming and very helpful. She made us feel valued. We enjoyed everything and would definitely come back. Highly recommended for families.

Families with young children should know about this before booking. We’re only on our first day, but already have a major problem with the Half Board arrangement. We booked believing dinner at the main buffet, The Market Café, was included, as the offer clearly said when we made the booking. On arrival, we were told we couldn’t use that buffet and could only choose from a limited set menu of pizza, Chinese or Indian food. Our children are 5 and 2, and Chinese and Indian set menus simply don’t suit them. We paid for Half Board so they could eat from a varied buffet, but now have almost no practical options for feeding them over the next 6 nights. We showed reception written proof from our booking that dinner at The Market Café was included. The response was rude and dismissive, with no real interest in resolving the issue or acknowledging the misleading advertising. They showed no concern for our children’s needs or wellbeing. We now face nearly a full week of worrying about what the children will eat each evening. Given this experience and the hotel’s apparent lack of concern about honoring what we bought or supporting families, I can’t recommend it to families with young children.
