Housekeeping did a good job, and Mr. Prince was the one real bright spot: courteous, attentive, and professional. The hotel is close to the airport and looks impressive, but despite being advertised as 5-star, the service felt more like 3-star. Breakfast during the holiday period was a disaster. There were no proper arrangements, guests queued for up to 1 hour and 30 minutes, and staff were often rude. Once, a staff member cleared the table and said, “such a long time you are.” We had paid for breakfast in the package, yet on 2 of our 5 days we had to eat outside. I raised the staff behavior with the manager, but his response was horrible, dismissive, and unhelpful, which made things worse. I can’t recommend the hotel. Please don’t be misled by the glowing 5-star reviews, this was my genuine experience.

I found trash under the bed in my room, which was disappointing and makes me think housekeeping inspections need to be more thorough. Most of the areas looked well maintained, though, and I hope the hotel addresses the cleanliness issue. We recently stayed at Grand Mercure Dubai City and still had an enjoyable visit thanks to the excellent hospitality. The Food & Beverage team deserves special recognition. The staff, especially Kenneth, were attentive, friendly, and professional, and made every dining experience enjoyable. The food’s quality and variety were good too.

I came in almost 3 in the morning after a long flight, but the staff welcomed me warmly and upgraded my room at no extra charge. I’d only planned to stay one night, then my plans changed and I stayed for three days. The place was affordable, clean, peaceful, and private, just right for resting. The reception team was friendly, professional, and helpful when I asked to extend. Thanks as well to housekeeping and Prince from the service crew for their kindness and good service. I loved my stay and highly recommend it. They made my visit comfortable and memorable.

I stayed for two weeks, and the convenient location helped: the airport and metro station are both close. There’s a gym, swimming pool, and plenty of basement parking. The rooftop pool was closed during my stay, but the other facilities were well maintained. Breakfast was enjoyable, and the in-house coffee shop was a nice place to sit and relax. The dining team made each visit feel welcoming. Lakshan, Isuru, Allwyn, Ismail, Bunty, and Praful stood out for their warmth, professionalism, and dedication, and consistently went above and beyond. Housekeeping worked hard to keep the rooms comfortable. Sushma deserves special recognition for her lovely towel designs and characters, and for her attention to detail, creativity, and commitment to guest satisfaction. She always did her best to keep rooms spotless and guests happy. Rahman, Poojan, Tanmay, and Anuj also gave excellent service throughout my stay. I had a wonderful stay, made memorable by the attentive staff, convenient location, and comfortable facilities. Thank you to the whole team for making those two weeks so pleasant.
