We pay a lot in “maintenance fee” every month and nothing gets done. There’s been a beeping sound in the hallway for months, waking everyone on my floor, even though we’ve reported it several times. The water problem is still there too, as other comments from a month ago show. It takes ages to heat up, then swings between a good temperature and suddenly burning your skin. Management is terrible.

The visitors’ toilet by reception is in an indecent state. The sink tap is broken, so after using soap there’s no way to rinse it off. It’s unhygienic, and the toilet is shared by men and women, which is inappropriate for a building under Ellington. I’m extremely disappointed by the reception staff’s disrespectful, unprofessional behavior today. I asked to go to the podium area to collect my children, who were playing with friends. The Indian receptionist lady and the African receptionist man refused, acted rudely, and repeated my words to each other as if mocking the situation. Neither offered help or suggested that a security staff member accompany me to find my children. I had to go myself; they showed no responsibility or urgency toward a parent trying to reach her kids. The staff’s attitude and the poor hygiene are both concerning and need to be addressed immediately.

Reposting this because management deleted it last time. The building’s design looks appealing, and it has the potential to be lovely, but there are still many ongoing problems. The communal hallways are marked up and smell bad, with a very strong diffuser being used to cover it. Staff can be rude, and we’ve had that happen several times. They don’t seem willing to help out of kindness. When we moved in, we were told the apartment had been professionally cleaned. It wasn’t. There was thick dust on every surface, and bird poop still covered the balcony. During our first week, the bathroom wall had to be ripped down to fix a pipe leak. We were told it would take a few hours, but it took seven days. The leak was never fixed, and later they asked to rip the wall down again for maintenance. We refused because the team had left such a mess last time, with no protective covers and no cleanup. We’ve had plenty of other apartment maintenance issues too: broken balcony doors, chipped tiles, marked cupboards, and cupboard openings the wrong way round. The pool doesn’t open until 9am, which is very late for a residential tower and inconvenient if you want a swim before work. It’s such a shame, because the building could be lovely.

I’ve been living here for 4+ months. The building facilities and residents are great, and I haven’t had any of the water heater or soundproofing problems mentioned in other negative reviews.

The facilities are amazing, and the management company, the guys working here, and security are great people. They’re totally amazing. They’re trying to fix the hot water too, which is good, but my apartment has already been “balanced” and I don’t believe it’ll get better. Right now the water goes from fully hot to about 1 cm from fully cold, then turns fully cold. It’s either a scalding hot shower or an ice cold one. Sometimes, depending on who else is showering, you get lucky and find a warm setting. The noise is the main reason I’m glad I’m only renting and won’t renew. The soundproofing is among the worst I’ve experienced in 16 years in Dubai and multiple buildings here. I can hear people in neighboring apartments, people talking down the passage, screaming kids on the floor all the way to the furthest apartment, barking dogs, and cars hooting outside. I can even hear the neighbor’s alarm clock from my bedroom when it goes off for his wake-up call. It’s really bad.
