Lavender Hotel Deira

We had already paid another 200 AED to upgrade two rooms for five guests, but the receptionist still charged an extra 50 AED for the fifth person. It made no sense. The Indian receptionist was rude and unaccommodating from the start. We’d have asked for a full refund if the booking hadn’t been fully paid and finding another hotel during Eid holidays weren’t so difficult. Very disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

This was my fifth visit, and it will be my last. The room was unclean and had none of the basics: towels, toiletries, cups, water, or anything else. I’d clearly asked for a higher floor away from the nightclub, but the room was directly above it. The noise was so loud I couldn’t sleep. When I asked to move, the front desk and manager treated me terribly. Supervisor Dani was especially rude and unprofessional, acting as if I had no right to make the request. He said, “You have the right to ask, but I will not respond to your request.” When I asked him to hear the noise himself, he told me to go back and try to sleep, insisting there was no noise. Worst hotel I’ve dealt with in Dubai. I don’t recommend it.

As regular guests who book here often, we found the treatment insulting and disappointing. One staff member was rude, hard to approach, and unwilling to help. They handled the situation disrespectfully and rigidly instead of explaining things properly. We won’t return, and our trust in Lavender Hotel in Deira is gone. There was also confusion over the hotel’s ID policy. One staff member said a copy of an ID was fine for booking or entry, then another refused it without a valid explanation. The staff clearly weren’t communicating or following the same rules. I strongly advise others not to book. The service and attitude made the whole experience frustrating and unacceptable.

The only real problem was that the flush didn’t work properly. Otherwise, the stay was good, with spacious, clean rooms and daily housekeeping. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Al Rigga metro station, and cabs are easy to find. There’s a restaurant five minutes away on foot and a Carrefour around 10 minutes away. Highly recommended.
