Orchid Vue Hotel

The conflicting checkout information and poor coordination made this a very disappointing stay. I checked with reception at around 2 AM before bed because I planned to leave at 2 PM. The receptionist said that was fine and that charges would only apply after 2 PM. If I'd known there would be an extra charge, I could have paid or changed my plans. The problem wasn't the payment itself, but being told one thing and then another. At 12:15 PM, a different staff member called and said checkout was at 12:30. I already knew the regular checkout time, which is why I'd confirmed a later one. With just 15 minutes' notice, there wasn't enough time to get ready and leave, and the call woke us despite the earlier confirmation. Our Wi-Fi was disconnected too. We ended up paying extra, and the whole situation left a bad impression. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I've never had this kind of inconvenience at a hotel before. The morning shift staff were rude, and it felt like they just wanted to take our money.

The night noise is worth considering if you're a light sleeper or traveling with family. There are nightclubs and music venues in the property, and sound can carry at night. If you enjoy a lively atmosphere and don't mind that, it may suit you. The hotel's strongest point is its location. Sharaf DG Metro station, formerly Al Fahidi, is very close, so getting to Downtown, Deira, and other attractions is easy. The area has plenty of nearby restaurants, particularly Indian and budget-friendly places within walking distance. There are also restaurants and pubs in the hotel, with live music and entertainment in the evenings. Rooms are generally clean and maintained well, housekeeping does a good job, and many guests appreciate the friendly, helpful staff. It's a practical, budget-friendly option for solo travelers, business visitors, and anyone looking for good metro access and nearby food choices.

The way the hotel staff treated guests made me very uncomfortable. Management should train them to act professionally and respectfully toward genuine guests. A decent, welcoming attitude is part of hospitality.

There was no peace or proper rest here. A South Indian club on the first floor played very loud music every night, with heavy bass and vibrations continuing until around 4 AM. After a hectic day, all we could hear was the booming music and feel the room shaking. I complained to management several times, but nothing was properly done. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, especially for families, elderly guests, or heart patients who need a calm environment. A very disappointing experience.
