Saffron Hotel

The room was filthy and smelled so bad it could make you sick. It looked nothing like the photos, and even the door lock was broken. The bathroom was poor too, and everything about the stay felt awful. We’ve stayed in lots of places in the UAE and never had such a terrible experience. I’m really let down and feel I threw my money away. If you see this hotel on a special deal, my advice is not to book it. You’ll be unhappy. If I could give it less than zero stars, I would.

Dust was everywhere, the room was clearly dirty, and the smell was very bad. The air was so poor I couldn’t breathe properly, making it impossible to stay, so I had to cancel my booking. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially for anyone with allergies or breathing sensitivities.

I booked four nights with breakfast, and the experience was horrible. The breakfast was awful, the place was dirty, and they even charged extra for hot water. The room and bathroom were filthy. I’ll post pictures so you can see for yourself. There were two energy drinks, a soda, and a bottle of water listed as the minibar. We didn’t touch anything, but at checkout they charged us 83 AED and insisted we pay. It felt like a scam, a way to take money from tourists. The whole stay was a waste of money and ruined my mood. The decision is yours, but I’d strongly advise staying away.

The reception staff and manager were rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional from the moment I arrived. Their harsh tone and lack of basic courtesy made the whole stay stressful and uncomfortable, instead of welcoming or helpful. Hospitality matters in this industry. Management should provide proper customer service and communication training. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel unless the staff attitude and professionalism improve significantly.
