Sea Point Hotel

We booked and prepaid for two rooms for a two-night family stay, but the experience was stressful from the moment we arrived. Check-in took almost two hours, and even though my credit card payment was clearly shown as complete, the receptionist asked whether I wanted to pay by cash or card. I saw the same frustrating mix-up happen to another guest. The desk moved very slowly, and some families waited over 3 to 4 hours for keys. We initially received just one room, then had to wait and push until 7:00 PM for the second. The rooms were on different floors. The hotel felt severely understaffed. When we called room service or guest relations, the people answering couldn’t help with basic requests, and seemed overwhelmed and poorly trained. The room advertising is misleading too: they claim all rooms are “Sea View,” but at best the view is partial, or as I’d put it, sand view. Breakfast was mediocre, with weak variety and quality. The beach was probably the only decent part, but it didn’t make up for the chaos. Parking was another headache. There aren’t enough spaces and there’s no valet, so guests have to leave cars on the street, which seemed to be the only option. For the price and promises, the lack of service and respect for guests’ time was unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially to families looking for a relaxing vacation.

The sea view was beautiful, and the hotel was quiet, away from the constant hustle in town. Karim and Victor deserve a special mention for their hospitality. They were professional and did their best to accommodate our requests. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting some peaceful time away from the city vibe.

The full-board food was a highlight. The chef varied the dishes, so we didn’t get bored, and the staff and other guests were friendly and welcoming. They were especially kind to our 11-month-old, who spent the stay exploring the hotel and learning to walk. We also appreciated being upgraded to a better room. We stayed at Sea Points Hotel for two nights and had a great experience overall. At first I wasn’t keen on the self-parking setup. Reception took longer than expected, there were some calculation errors to correct, and I had to remind them about the notes in my reservation before they were acknowledged and acted on. I’d love it if the hotel allowed pets, as we would have enjoyed bringing our dog. Even with those issues, I was very satisfied and would give the stay five stars.

Raju is the best, so friendly, and Caleb at the front desk made us feel welcome. The hotel is amazing, with a lovely sea view. The food is great, especially breakfast, and the bar is a relaxing, refreshing spot. An exceptional place to stay.
