Silkhaus Boulevard Point, Downtown Dubai

The fire alarm went off while we were staying on a very high floor, and we had seriously ill people with us. We were terrified and stressed, and even called an ambulance. Only afterward did we learn it was a fire drill. Nobody gave us advance notice, a message, or a warning. There was just a tiny sign in the elevator that nobody mentioned. Holding an evacuation drill without telling guests beforehand is completely unacceptable. It caused needless panic, health risks, and a horrible experience. I’ll never book here again and do NOT recommend this building.

We were on the 62nd floor with very sick people when the fire alarm suddenly sounded. We were extremely worried and had to call an ambulance. It turned out to be only a fire evacuation drill, but nobody had told us in advance. There was no notice, message, or email, just a small sign inside the elevator. No building should run a drill without clearly informing its guests first. It caused unnecessary panic, stress, and a serious health risk for the people with me. The Burj Khalifa looks truly beautiful from the boulevard at night, and you can find reasonably priced cafes and restaurants there, especially compared with the expensive spots around Dubai Mall. But Dubai’s heavy air, intense heat, high humidity, and suffocating odor can seriously affect comfort. Even in the evening it can feel overwhelming and make staying outside difficult. Dubai Boulevard is visually stunning, though the downsides are hard to miss. Summer heat and humidity are exhausting, and even around 9-10 pm it’s still very hot, with the feels-like temperature often much higher than the actual reading. The dense-feeling air makes walking tiring quickly, and sweating is unavoidable. In some areas, the heat mixed with a heavy smell can be unpleasant. Spending a long time outdoors in these conditions feels more like work than enjoyment.

The balcony view was lovely, and the building was nice too. I stayed for 4 days.
