Tanha Palace Hotel was a great place to stay, and I can recommend it. The rooms were very clean, and even the compact bathrooms were spotless. Staff were friendly and the service was excellent throughout. Getting around was easy with Binyasi Metro station nearby, and the airport is about 8km away. An Uber XL ride there cost around 90 dirhams. There’s no lobby or hotel restaurant, but plenty of good places to eat right next door. The hotel is above a busy area with lots of shops and markets, so it was easy to find what I needed. The price was reasonable for the value, and the combination of cleanliness, service, and location made it an ideal base for my trip.

I saw a one-night Agoda price of 86 including taxes, but when I arrived the receptionist quoted 250 aed. I told him what I’d seen, and he denied it. While I was there, he asked a nearby worker in Bangla to raise the price on Agoda. He didn’t realize I understand Bangla too. I believe the people working there are dishonest. They operate two hotels, Tanha hotel and Tanha Palace hotel, so be careful before booking either. I worked in hospitality at a 5star property and know this kind of behavior. I hope management sees this and takes action.

The night receptionist was grumpy. I think he may be the manager or owner. There was no complimentary water.

The receptionist was very rude and the customer service was poor. When I asked the room price, I got no answer. Worst hotel.
