We were in room 1806 for about a week, and I wouldn’t stay here again. The room was dirty and unhygienic, the shower water didn’t drain properly, and the fire alarm kept going off. We also couldn’t leave our luggage, which seemed odd since that’s normally allowed. The front desk staff weren’t friendly either.

Living at Sobha The Crest has been one big nightmare. I’ve paid over 200k, yet we’re being hassled about a move-in permit without anyone giving us instructions or details on how to get one. Reception staff are rude and disrespectful, expect tenants to handle everything, and seem more interested in scrolling on their phones than helping. Security and maintenance also ask for our apartment number when we use the facilities, and there are extra fees on top of the cost of living here. When we ask for help, we don’t get any. Some amenities don’t even work, despite the high price. I expected a smooth move-in and to be left in peace. If I could go back, I wouldn’t live here. I won’t recommend these buildings to friends or colleagues, and I won’t renew my contract.

The gym shuts at 10 PM, which is too early for residents who finish work late and still want to exercise. Extending the hours to at least 11 PM would be a basic way to accommodate them. We’ve also had a loud emergency siren go off in the middle of the night without any explanation. Our experience with the community management since moving into Sobha The Crest has been very disappointing. For the amount residents pay and the high service charges, the organization and communication fall well short. Hot water was disconnected without any notice at all, even though residents plan their routines around basic utilities. Things feel poorly organized, and we’re left dealing with stress and delays instead of the comfort and peace of mind community management should provide.

The views from this tower are great. It’s a wonderful place.
