Sunday Mangrove Corniche Hotel

The hotel’s surroundings and overall ambiance were good, and breakfast was another positive point. The food was good and the breakfast staff did a very good job. Unfortunately, the room was extremely spacious but poorly maintained, with mold on the furniture and drawer doors hanging off their hinges. I waited from 1:30pm until 3:30pm because no room was ready, and room 309 was still unclean when I received the keys. The bed had not been made, there was toilet paper and stool in the toilet, and the shower tub was full of water. Reception repeatedly ended my calls, while housekeeping took 45 minutes to send two attendants. They changed the sheets but handled the toilet badly, and there were no towels or water. Staff promised water but never returned. At 9pm, a Burmese girl attendant finally brought water, but could provide only two bath towels and no hand towels. The reception was also unhelpful at checkout. When I asked for a bellboy, I was told it was not their job and the call was ended. My wife had to find the bellboy herself while I collected the car because there was no valet. Some housekeeping attendants and reception staff were totally unprofessional and showed little care or human decency.

This stay was noticeably worse than my previous one. The night reception team seemed unhelpful and unresponsive, and we often had to follow up repeatedly before anyone dealt with housekeeping concerns. In some cases, we called at least three times before getting assistance. I hope management reviews the situation because the service did not meet the expected standard.

The people at Mangrove Hotel made the stay memorable. Everyone, from housekeeping and IT to the front desk, was warm, polite, and quick to help. Stephen at reception was particularly kind and welcoming, and the staff’s attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for. The hotel itself was cozy, clean, and well maintained. You could tell the team took pride in their work. Thank you, Mangrove Hotel team, for such a pleasant trip. I’ll return and recommend it to family and friends.

Stefano was an outstanding host. Everything my wife and I requested was taken care of, and I’d give him 10/10. The rest of the staff were also operating at a high level. We especially enjoyed the massage and spa, and the property also has decent food, free parking, Wi-Fi, a gym, and a pool. The rooms were great and the location was excellent, so I had a very good rest. This was my fifth trip to the UAE. I normally stayed in Dubai, and this was my first time on this side, but I’m thrilled with how it went. Highly recommended.
