Lavender Hotel Sharjah

We left after only 15 minutes because the experience was so bad. The hotel smelled awful, looked old and outdated, and made us wait an hour in the lobby because the room wasn’t ready. The room we received was tiny, filthy, and nothing like the pictures, with stains across the beds. When we reported this to the reception staff, an East Indian younger guy named Austin told us, “leave a bad review I don’t care.” The staff were rude and arrogant instead of respectful. We canceled our stay immediately. This felt closer to a one-star hotel than a four-star one. I’d give zero stars if possible and advise people to stay elsewhere.

The hotel and breakfast were both okay. The real problem came when we tried to visit the private beach across the street. They accepted cash only and gave us no way to pay by card. Since we usually use digital cards, carrying cash is almost impossible for me now.

The hotel was noisy, dirty, and had a constant unpleasant smell in both the rooms and hallways. The rooms and bathrooms were not acceptably clean, and the staff were unhelpful. Service was very poor, so I can’t recommend this hotel.

On August 12 2025, I waited from my scheduled 2:00 PM check-in until 2:30 PM before anyone attended to me. The reception staff member was unfriendly, did not show basic courtesy, and argued when I raised the delay instead of handling it professionally. The check-out was also troubling. I asked for my Emirates ID, but the staff member insisted it had already been returned. I am certain I never received it. He made no effort to search for the card or suggest a solution, despite the serious problems losing an identification document could cause. Reception staff need proper training in customer service, scheduled check-in times, and proactive guest assistance. Employees should be respectful, attentive, and willing to help. This level of negligence is unacceptable for a hotel. Sincerely, Nes
