We only wanted to know how long check-in would take because we were traveling with our son. When we asked reception and security for an estimate, we were answered rudely and told to book another hotel if we didn’t want to wait. That was very different from the friendly, hospitable service described in the reviews we had read before booking. The lack of help and the way we were spoken to left us with a very negative impression of the hotel.

We paid for a two-day staycation at Flamingo Beach Resorts but left after one night because the room was dirty and smelled strongly, including around the surrounding areas. The door lock was broken, and reception never fixed it after we reported the problem. The intercom was also useless because the line stayed busy. Breakfast was poor, Wi-Fi did not work, and the services didn’t match what we paid. This stay was a waste of our money, and I wouldn’t recommend the resort.

We expected a peaceful family vacation at Flamingo Beach Resort, but after paying approximately 3,000 AED for two rooms for two nights, we left after one night. Loud noise continued late, the pool stayed open until midnight, and intoxicated guests and pets around the property frightened my children. There was only one restaurant, one pool, and no proper indoor family seating, despite the property being advertised as a resort. The extra beds were another problem. We checked in at 3:00 PM and requested two, but one arrived at 10:00 PM and the second at 10:30 PM. Our young son had already fallen asleep in his mother’s bed, so we cancelled the second bed and asked for a refund. Reception instead offered a “free mattress” and expected our child to sleep on the floor. Housekeeping had barely cleaned the room. Only the main bed was made, my son’s bed was untidy, and there were no fresh towels, so we had to reuse used ones. At 11:30 PM, staff loudly knocked while the children were asleep and demanded payment for drinks ordered earlier, refusing our request to settle the bill at checkout the next morning. The pool area also seemed poorly supervised. I saw a child fall and get a bleeding nose, but the only response was a plaster, and the children’s pool was dangerously crowded. Wi-Fi disconnected every few minutes, leaving us dependent on mobile data. The whole stay was stressful, uncomfortable, and badly managed, and I would not recommend this resort to families.

The room was very clean, and the staff were good. The facilities were nice too, so the journey from Abu Dhabi was worth it and we plan to return soon. The main annoyances were cats wandering outside and loud doors banging from other rooms.
