Villa Anguillitta

Catherine made our stay at Villa Anguillita feel especially welcoming, adding thoughtful touches and making sure everything was perfect. The villa itself had all the equipment we could need, along with comfort and character. During our week, we explored the island and loved the clear water and soft sand at Meads Bay and Rendezvous Bay. The opening night of Carnival at Carnival Village was unforgettable, with fireworks, music, energy, and culture. Meeting the kind, genuinely warm people of Anguilla made the trip even better. The villa’s view of Saint Martin was dreamlike, especially in the morning. We’re already planning another visit and highly recommend it.

The view by itself makes this beautiful resort worth staying at. They’ve thought of everything, so all I needed to bring was my swimsuit. I’m already planning to come back.

Villa Anguillitta feels luxurious because so much care went into its layout, design, and materials. Sharon, the owner, was exceptionally kind and hospitable, offering help before we arrived and staying in a room below the main property so she could answer questions. Her grand tour explained both how things worked and the thought behind the details. The spacious home suits families or groups, with comfortable living and dining areas, a modern kitchen stocked with a coffee maker, blender, waffle maker, and more, plus a Keurig on the patio beside the pool and the ocean view toward St Martin. Bedrooms are individual and comfortable, with useful bedside space. The large open bathrooms have pleasant soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand lotion. Outside, the infinity pool has plenty of floats, and snorkeling gear is available to take to the beach. We loved the nearby beaches but were always happy to return to the villa. The patio tile stayed comfortable underfoot, and there were shaded and sunny seating areas with tables for books, drinks, or sunglasses. The landscaping, with coconut trees, hedge-like plants, fencing, bougenvillea, flowers, and stonework, is thoughtfully done. The kids played the organ, and everyone tried the cat jigsaw puzzle. We also planned to play darts, try mini golf again, and use the sauna and jacuzzi. The workout room was another nice surprise, with a padded floor for pilates, hand weights, and a yoga mat by the pool. We didn’t use the main equipment, though we did try the jiggle machine for fun. My husband and kids ran in the neighborhood and enjoyed meeting the friendly dogs and goats. It’s a welcoming, elegant, charming place for a family or group.

Every villa has an ocean view with Saint Maarten in the distance, and the place is packed with things to do: a pool, hot tub, sauna, mini golf, pool side bar, home movie theater, hammocks, and even a soon-to-come fire pit by the ocean. Five stars doesn’t really cover it. I want to conceive my first child here, and that says a lot.
